The true life
story of Author C.S. Lewis "Shadowlands" written by William Nicholson will
open Friday night, April 4th at 8PM at the Chetco Playhouse in Brookings, Oregon.
Directed by Tommy Jones and assisted by Sirci Kiter this Chetco Pelican
Players production show how love can breech the defenses of the most
resistant of hearts.
C.S. Lewis (played by newcomer Steve Combs) is amused by letters received by
Joy Davidman (Bj Farris) a New York admirer and agrees to have tea. He is
not taken by her and feels safe because she was married. But when she
returns after a divorce, he slowly falls under her spell. This touching
story will make you laugh and cry as C.S. Lewis realizes the depth of his
need for her and his happiness of discovering love for the first time.
Playing for three weekends only it is highly recommend tickets be purchased
early to avoid being turned away at the door. Tickets are $12 Adults and $6
